LeighAnn, an angry customer shared in a review: "Avenue has thee absolute worst customer service! Their underwear and bras are super expensive but total crap! I ordered a bra and when I received it, it was damaged! I was expected to pay the return shipping plus new shipping to exchange it! After I’d already paid the initial shipping totally $8.95 x 3 = $26.85 for a bra I paid $36.00 for! Avenue has thee absolute worst customer service! PT Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"This company gives hours by Avenue credit card sign up's and they prey on the ignorant and weak by basically making associates be nice and push their high interest rate credit card's on people who may not know what they're getting in to. and firing up competition between stores to praise and shame based on CREDITS CREDITS CREDITS!!! It is a bad way to make your employees feel worthwhile and other worthwhile work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. I gave that store everything I had as far as workload and work ethic and attitude and basically doing the best job I could while I was there. And personally at the time had bad credit so I let them use my name to apply several times to give the store credits to help employees and mangment and still appreciation for employees including myself is the "NEVER ENOUGH" attitude. We were pushing everything from credit cards to magazines while working tirelessly every minute of every hour to keep up ever changing floor sets. Keeping busy as if our lives depended on it, but again no regard for employees whatsoever. Another employee I worked with didn't receive her Thanksgiving paycheck due to company mistake and this woman was a LOYAL worker and she did everything by the book. The company didn't even bother to fix the situation until the next week payday. It broke her heart because she's a nice person and doesn't expect much, and the company she's been loyal to all those years doesn't care for HER and HER well being enough to fix THIS mistake to compensate their employee in a timely and expected manner. Especially before a holiday, which Cons: The emotional and physical challenges almost broke my spirit"

Cashier and Sales Associate (Current Employee) says

"Dm sucks doesnt pick up phone.she doesn't help. When she comes its to yell at everyone and rips the store apart if she doesn't like how it looks. Don't go there"

Customer Service (Current Employee) says

"The company has very poor management, the job is fun due to the customers but very difficult to work with the DM due to the store manager not following her directions and the DM then gets angry at the associates."

STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) says

"The residents are wonderful they have a Covid unit you get NO COVID PAY they have no staff the ones they have half of them is horrible. The management is clueless wrong time with this pandemic. Cons: No staff little pay no leadership"

Retail sales associate (Former Employee) says

"I worked at this store for a couple years and I left for one big reason: THE COMPANY WAS ALL OUT SELLING CREDIT CARDS! I learned customers by name, I was always courteous, always punctual, but if the credit sales weren't at 10% of overall sales there was a problem. My manager would literally go to the back room and cry after the DM would yell at her for not making sales or credit goals. We were pretty much expected to harass customers into getting the credit. it was so desperate at times that we felt pressured to ask friends and family to fill out credit applications for us as favors. I had been asked to work overtime without pay since they would change the floorplan every week and expect us to be able to keep up with the high expectations. I have also had to work through my lunch break. I'd rather die than work there again. The only redeeming quality about this place was the great relationships I built with my coworkers. Hell I hardly even shop here anymore because of how the workers are treated. Its no wonder why turn over is so high especially with the minimum wage pay. Thanks but no thanks Avenue. Cons: short breaks, little pay, not many hours, mean district managers, just a horrible place to work"

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says

"I worked 50+ hours a week due to short staff and lack of management hiring people with good work ethics. Processed all incoming freight, steam hung and placed on floor."

Sales Associate/Cashier (Former Employee) says

"A typical day was to show up on time for your shift, help the customers if they asked for help, ring items for the customer, steam new clothes (some time), and close by cleaning the mirrors, vacuuming (not all the time), and dusting (not all the time). Cons: Management talking to associates about your private business on the sales floor."

Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) says

"I enjoyed helping customers at Avenue with their fashions. I was always busy with multi-tasking projects. I learned new and better management skills as far as time management, handling noncompliant coworkers, and what not to do in a business environment to keep customers and employees satisfied. The hardest part of the job was the physical demands of resetting walls for updated visual merchandising. Also, I found the condescending behavior of the District Manager appalling as well as the level of unprofessionalism conducted by the Store Manager. The most enjoyable part of the job was helping customers feel great about their choices and saving them money. Cons: Only 2 workers at a time allowed to work, hardly had a break and could not leave for a break, favoritism shown in the workplace, company policy was not expected of all workers to comply to"

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says

"a typical work day at the avenue consists of putting shipment out, markdowns, floor moves"

Store Manager/District Manager in Training (Former Employee) says

"I worked for Avenue for 3 years. They do not care about your personal life, and you have alot of schedule requirements. They are very credit card aggresive...I received a complaint from a customer about being too pushy, my District Manager congratulated me! Once I got a new DSM things got better...but still didn't like the company or how they handled business. And the Loss Prevention Manager was the WORST!!"

Retail Sales Associate (Seasonal) says

"typical day would be slow at times. I learned how to handle customers. Management and co-workers were fun to work with. The hardest part of the job was working with customers who were aggressive. The most enjoyable part of the job was unpacking incoming merchandise. Cons: no health insurance for part time workers"

Former Employee - Project Manager says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time Cons: Contractors high turn over It is more of a staffing agency than consultancy Disorganized startup ego-centric mentality Relationships with clients not good enough to ensure continuity of contractors with other clients Office environment could be depressing and immature Poor benefits and low pay as employee Client's treatment to contractors as "second class""

Former Employee - Software Engineer says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time for more than a year Cons: - Lacking integrity - A lot of talk, no action - Chaotic company structure, process and direction - management and environment: is both explosive and manic - No company mission or goal - Flat organization that is not interested in improving employee experience - The highest turn over rate - A lot of deception for bonuses and pay"

Current Employee - Project Manager says

"I have been working at Avenue Code full-time for less than a year Cons: Very Money Oriented staffing company. - Not good benefits, including insurance - No 401k matching"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Avenue Code full-time Cons: Management is incompetent and irresponsible"

Current Employee - Senior Software Engineer - Java says

"I have been working at Avenue Code full-time for less than a year Cons: HR will request commitment with company even before having interview with end client and will hold for more than one month. Lather they doesn't bother on setting up interview for two months and finally when I attend the interview there is no match between the skills I have in resume with skills client is expecting for"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time Cons: People are underpaid, lots of lies from the management team, only a few of the preferred employees get acknowledgments and that is not because they work better than others, but because of they have personal relationship with leadership. I would not recommend Avenue Code to anyone that is not a recent grad with 0 experience. Get a couple of years of experience and look for something better"

Former Employee - Software Engineer says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time Cons: The company just looks like a startup with a self management mindset but in fact they are not. Avenue code is just a outsourcing company who focus on offshore and headcount. They don't care about software quality or quality delivery."

Former Employee - Software Engineer says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time for more than a year Cons: - Lie about travels and do all kind of things so that you join as early as possible - Hire devs who don't speak english and offer to their clients in US - Hire junior devs and offer them as seniors. - Terrible benefits - Lots of difference between salaries even within the same level"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time for more than a year Cons: Managers are not prepared Good reviews here are clearly made by the managers itself - language used and the way they describe the company is clear to see Losing its values hiring managers that do not have the company's profile HR is focused on hiring new people ONLY and do not care about the ones that are already in the company"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Avenue Code full-time for less than a year Cons: BAD management - non-quallified people performing the job Poor sctructure No Career plan LOTS os discrepancy on incomes of people that performs the exactly same job No challenging projects at all"

Dara Davis says

"I made an order in November for one item a bathrobe. I still have not received this order when you email it's a joke they give you a ticket number but you never hear back. Trying to call is a nightmare your lucky if the call even connects. I did call in December the lady said they would get it out as soon as possible and I haven't received anything and now I can't even get ahold of them."

Brandon Gianneschi says

"Don’t Do It! This company used to be a solid company. I placed an order for several items in November. The clothing items shipped but not the boots, when I received my order the two pairs of shorts I received had holes in the seams from poor craftsmanship. I took photos with tags still attached to the items and contacted them through their customer service page, no response. I tried calling multiple times to be stuck on hold for an hour and then to be disconnected without being able to speak to anyone. I tried email again, to which I finally got an answer. They would refund my shorts if I sent the photos of the damage and my boots would ship soon. Weeks pass, nothing, I again contact them again with photos to which they say they will send me a merchandise credit for the shorts, I ask them to cancel the boots at this point it’s been well over a month they can’t even give me an estimated shipping date and there is snow on the ground now so I’ve had to buy a different pair of boots from the store. They refuse to cancel the boots saying it’s too far along in the order process to cancel even though the boots haven’t or aren’t due to ship anytime soon. What? The best part is after they ship my boots if they ever do if I want a refund I have to pay for return shipping label out of my own pocket. So they have my money, boots and have not sent me my merchandise credits for the damaged merchandise which are still sitting in my closet with the tags on and again this has been since November. At this point I’m going to see what my credit card company can do. Point is stay they heck away from this company!"

Jackie says

"I am currently awaiting an order that I placed on December 4th. The odd thing is that I ordered two pair of shoes and one pair got to me within a week or two. They have not given me an acceptable reason as to why they fulfilled and shipped part of my order and not the other. They do not know when the other pair will ship and can not give a tracking number. I’ve asked for a refund, but the shoes have to be shipped so that it can be rerouted to them to refund. But again, they do not know when the shoe will ship. I’m certain I’ll probably never see the shoes or my money again, but I can help someone else from spending their money here. Please shop elsewhere. The good deals are not worth the trouble and you can probably do better elsewhere and have better service provided."

Melody Johnson says

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR ORDER, KNOWINGLY CHARGE YOUR CARD, AND IGNORE YOU WHEN YOU TRY AND GET THE SITUATION CORRECTED!! I CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES IVE CONTACTED THIS PLACE IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS. THEY FLAT OUT REFUSE TO FOLLOW UP AND RESPOND."

Lisa Alter says

"If I could give less than a star I would. Ordered in July never received 150.00 gone. They need to be investigated and forced to refund. Never answered many emails that I sent. This was a gift. Do not use!"

Olya M says

"AVOID, AVOID. They take your money, will ship order over a month later with missing items and do not refund or send a missing items. Or they dont ship your orders at all. Order #1 placed on Dec. 17. Arrived with missing item, reached out several time, no refund or an eta on a missing item Order #2 placed on Dec. 9th. Was shipped with missing item. Avenue will not reply to any of my emails. Order #3 placed on Dec. 2nd. No movement and no update for this order. I have been charged for all three orders."

Jay H. says

"Avenue customer service is the worst of any company I've ever experienced! I ordered a jacket and a pair of boots about a month ago, in November of 2020. Shipping probably took about a week and when it arrived I was sent the wrong pair of shoes. For the last 3 weeks I have been calling and emailing trying to get the correct pair of shoes sent to me. They have ignored every email I sent and half the time when I call the customer service phone number it either says my call can not be connected and I have to call 12 times in a row before the number actually connects to put me in queue for a representative, or if I can get through on the 1st call the automated system will hang up on me after waiting for 25 mins to talk to someone. When I can actually talk to a real person they all tell me the same thing, which is unhelpful and isn't getting me my boots! "We're waiting for the warehouse to respond". So you dont have any other way to communicate with your warehouse other than sending and email and "waiting" for them to respond? My issue has supposedly been "escalated" 3 times already and STILL no boots. No one has even ever called or emailed me back to give me a status update. Its frustrating! I know alot of companies have been having issues because of coronavirus but this is by far the worst experience I've EVER had trying to get an item that I PAID FOR and getting actually help to sort it out! Avenue has definitely lost a customer"

Debbie Cavanagh says

"Avoid shopping from this online store! Placed an order over a month ago paid with after pay and gave paid all installments however still no order 6 weeks ago calls to customer service take 30 minutes plus to get through and you still do not get an intelligent answer. Some of the clothes are nice however I will never place an order with them again due to this experience snd poor customer service."

Ash Davis says

"If I could give this store zero stars. I would please don't buy from here. The second it became an online store everything went down hill. I HATE THIS PLACE. I placed an on Nov 25, 2020 and today Dec 11th my order still hasn't shipped. No info on it nothing just my money gone."

Kimberly Barr says

"Worst customer service ever.Sent me a 10 voucher and I couldn’t get it to take the 10 off my order. I called customer service , was on hold for 35 min. I was caller 27. Finally I get someone who has to email her supervisor then wants me to go to my email get a link then send picture of the back of my voucher. Then email them back or call again and be on hold. No thank you keep the 10 dollars and I didn’t place my order."

Millicent Cole says

"Do not shop here!! The worst company I’ve EVER shopped at!! There a company that’ll take your money even if they can’t produce the product in a timely manner. Long story short. I don’t know if I’ll receive my package this year, or next year!!!! It’s November 2020 for this of you who are curious. First and last time shopping here!!"

debbie w. says

"Worst Customer Service EVER! I ordered on Wed Nov 4, 2020, and received an order number. I inquired on the order, Mon Nov 9, 2020, and was given a support Ticket ID. I inquired on the support Ticket ID, Thurs Nov 12, 2020, and heard nothing. I called the 800 number, Friday Nov 13, 2020, and was told I was 26th in line. TWENTYSIX! While on hold (40 mins) I googled business reviews for this company. When I finally got hold of a person, I cancelled my order. Except I was told that once an order is placed they are not allowed to cancel it. I should just return the shipment when I receive it and I'll get a credit. I told the person that I would dispute any charges on my credit card and would refuse receipt of the package. I've been trying since Monday to get information on this order. What a scam!"

Mindy says

"Ordered my hammock chair in May 2020 and never received. Received an email stating it was shipped and that was in June. Attempted to contact several times with no success. I am now out 139.99. Completely scammed!!"

Claire Abbatiello says

"I placed an order less than 48 hours ago and today every item is on sale, significantly reduced. I called and asked for a price adjustment and was told they won't do that. I have never dealt with a company who does not offer price adjustments if an item goes on sale within 30 days. I need to return the shipment and rebuy. I will certainly return but will not be rebuying. This is not a good way to do business"

Danielle says

"I ordered an egg swinging chair on July 17. It is now September 21 and I never received the chair or an explanation about where my money went. I requested a refund on September 1 and never heard anything. The website, eshop avenues, is now down, and no one is answering the email at the address provided in my order confirmation email. According to my research, eshop avenues is owned by Radek Vision, Ltd, registered at the address 57A Queens Road Watford, WD17 2QN which is owned by Mr. Radek Dobes and has been operating for 8 months. I found his personal email but he has not responded to that when I requested a refund and an explanation."

Lisa Rolf says

"I ordered 3 for my girls August 2 and have done everything else that others wrote in their reviews. A legitimate company would not respond that the order will be shortly on the way and you never receive shipping status. I understand backorders or shipping delays, but communication is appreciated. Eventually, bad things come back to those that give it, but I'd like to believe the chairs will miraculously show up or we can receive our money back!"

Semra says

"My mom placed an order for a canopy swing on 7/29/2020 and she never received it! But they were quick to take her money! Now we can’t get through to them as the website is shut down and they don’t answer the numerous emails that we sent to them. This is obviously a scam website! And why is their email a UK email address?? This fake company needs to be investigated so that proper measures can be taken. And everyone should get their refund!! These people are CRIMINALS! And a bunch of douches!"

Bonnie Holt says

"I ordered my egg chair back in March and still have not got it. It’s ridiculous and the website has been closed down recently."

Kara Cunningham says

"I ordered a canopy swing several months ago and never received but they took my money. I've sent several emails that were never replied back to."

Tina K. From 🇺🇸 says

"I used to love buying my clothes here. I have spent lots of money with the company. I will no longer purchase from them because or my last experience with them. I ordered a $300 order. One of the pairs of Jenas came in and it was marked wrong. Meaning the package said they were tall jeans but the label on the actual pants said they were petites. Now it's obvious that a Tall girl can't fit in Petite jeans so I sent them back for an exchange. They charged me to send them back and I never got the new pair. They refunded me but then charged me $20 to return them when it was clearly their mistake. When I emailed them in this regard, it was completely ignored as I have yet to get a response. I'll order from Woman Within from now on."
